Reactionary Tactics

I really do think integrity and the bystander effect is a huge issue the human race faces today. I also believe, mhmm kinda don't know how to put this...what people believe others will think of them is not as low or weird or stupid by doing the right thing as they think. In fact, atleast me personally, find myself thinking much higher of someone who stands up to what is right. Society is so caught up with their image that it presses on our decisions of doing right. People don't want to look stupid in front of friends or others around them, most of which the chances of seeing them again are highly unlikely. I try to do what I can for who I can. After such a scare one time, I vowed to never do something so "stupid" again. But I later realized that anything someone can take from me is replaceble, that if they felt they need it more than I do, they can have it. Also, that when it is my time to go, I will go. And the things that don't kill me, I learn from. Thats kinda my opinion on the Bystander Effect.

  1. Totally agree. I think we are much harder on our ourselves than others are on us. Mother used to say to me "you are your worst enemy." So true.

Being kinder to ourselves (positive self thinking) makes it so much easier to be kinder to those around us...ones we know and those we do not know.

Glad you are a part of the OU Family!
